I/---- Lick Star Identification Catalog (Klemola+ 2005) ============================================================== ================= Lick Northern Proper Motion Program: Lick Star Identfication Catalog (LSIC) Klemola A.R., Hanson R.B., Jones B.F., Monet D.G. =2004AJ....128.1430H ================================================================================ ADC_Keywords: Star Cross identifications Description: The Lick Star Identification Catalog (LSIC) is the final part of the Lick Northern Proper Motion (NPM) program. It consists of those surveyed stars which, for various reasons, failed to survive or be included in the main NPM2 catalog of absolute proper motions, positions, and photographic photometry (I/283A) and its Cross-Identification catalog (I/293)). The LSIC includes stars with blended images, very large or weak images, and stars rejected during reductions for the NPM2. Visually measured positions at the arcsecond level (or larger) and cross-identifications are provided for 18,357 stars from the Lick Input Catalog of Special Stars (ICSS) compiled by Klemola. Positions for equinox J2000 are listed at epochs of the surveyed plates (1947-1954, mean 1950.0). Data is provided for those brighter stars also in Tycho-2 (positions reduced to plate epoch). Five Appendices to the LSIC provide references, footnotes, and other useful information. This "ReadMe" file explains the file formats. Detailed documentation is given in the file "lsic.txt".
